Dear friends,
I’m glad to share with you my collection of pins regarding yachting history. Yachting and collecting are passions of my whole life. In some famous yachting events I have been a participant, but a lot of the main and legendary races I just missed out, and even have had a chance to follow them by TV or newspaper. That’s why yachting history, melted down with my collecting passion gives me a good chance to restore in memory some great events of passed time.
On this site you will find all my collection, divided into a few chapters: America’s cup, around the globe races (Whitbread and Volvo ocean), singlehanded races (OSTAR, TRANSAT, Vendee Globe), full crew races (Fastnet, Sydney-Hobart, Admiral's Cup) and tall ships races. I’m sure you will find some mistakes and discrepancy therefore I would really appreciate if you can give me any good advise about them, all info will be corrected accordingly. Any suggestions, proposals and critical remarks from your side will be greatly appreciated as well.
So far I have used numerous sources to find related pins on different auctions and on-line shops and I will be really grateful if you can search once again your garage stores and table drawers and maybe you have some other pins for my collection, I’ll be glad to buy or exchange them. In case they are still so important for you - would you like to provide me with a photographs, and they will be uploaded to my site with a mention of the owner.
